WELCOME

Welcome to the official website of the Highland Velodrome Trust. We are local cyclists dedicated to providing support which will help young cyclists from the Highlands of Scotland to develop their potential in the sport of cycling. Following our abandonment of the velodrome project we are refocusing our efforts to provide support in the form of bursaries and grant aid to individual riders. The Star Awards offer a £500 bursary to an up and coming young rider. Awards will be made 3 times a year to different riders. The Ivor Fund provides support for young riders to get involved in track riding. For fuller details see Star Awards and Ivor Reid Fund. Development projects in the area can also be supported. Eligible projects might typically include support for coaching sessions or come and try activities run by clubs, schools or other organisations keen to promote cycling among the young, disadvantaged or other minority groups.
