Finn Crockett (Ben Wyvis CC) is the first recipient of the new quarterly HiVelo STARS Award. A £250 bursary to assist his racing development was presented to Finn at Polnicol at the Midsummer 25tt.

Finn is riding as a Junior during 2016 and his main focus is road racing/criteriums. His current bike is a Felt ARS. In his own words …..
“My biggest cycling achievement has to be the Scottish Junior 10TT champs. I went in with no big expectations but managed to win by 39s. I couldn’t believe it!
I am very competitive so I love to say that I can win races and be able to beat other, very fast, cyclists/racers.
My climbing is probably the skill I need to work on most. Getting dropped by the leading group on a 10% gradient is not fun.
Hopefully I can take my cycling far enough to make a living out of it. I would also love to be riding for a pro team and racing abroad.
Cycling involves a lot of travelling, so using this award to get to races will help me out greatly.”
